Art Institute of Chicago

A visit to the Art Institute of Chicago is always a fun trip.  My perspective on art changes a bit each time I go.  The more I admire the works of great artists, the more I attach personal meaning whether it be deep or superficial.  Here are some pictures from my iPhone (I have yet to purchase a dSLR).  This particular visit I instantly thought of relations between art and fashion (surprise, surprise).  Here's my interpretation.

Claude Monet's Water Lilys made me instantly think of a beautiful silk kimono from Aritzia, called Loti Kimono by Wilfred.  It's not on the online catalogue yet, but I found this lovely dress with the same print.  The Karina Dress, also by Wilfred.  I don't think this picture gives justice to this beauty.
